At the beginning of June, Nefab went live at four sites simultaneously – Denmark, Estonia, Finland, and Lithuania. Internal Sales also went live across the countries.
From Meridion, a large team participated in the rollout. Jerker Johansson and Anton Matsborg played central roles in the implementation team in Estonia and Lithuania. Maria Hörnquist focused on the logistics aspects in Finland, and Anton Fogelström supported Factory Track in Estonia.
Key lessons we have taken from successfully implementing M3 from another ERP system in just half a year include the following:
- A solid M3 set up to build upon
- A migration tool and someone who understands both the old system and M3 reasonably well
- Good master data
- Motivated and responsible superusers
In the Estonia and Lithuania project, we had most of the above to some degree. It may sound like a cliché to say “users need to take ownership of their new system”, but ultimately, that was the single most important factor in going live on time and without any major issues.
