Future-Proof ERP Journey for Plasman
From Green-Screen to Infor M3 CloudSuite
Plasman and Meridion are pleased and proud to have successfully completed a groundbreaking implementation of Infor M3 CloudSuite along with its associated integrations.
The decision to launch this joint project was made in late June 2023, the project started in September 2023, and the new solution went live at the end of May 2024. The transition moved from an outdated green-screen Movex solution from the 1990s, running on an increasingly burdened iSeries system, supplemented with multiple applications.
The digital transformation journey to the cloud with Infor M3 CloudSuite included:
- A new MES-solution with RS Production
- New supplier invoice management with Meridion Attestation Tool MATE
- New outbound delivery management with Factory Track
- New EDI technology with PipeChain
- New print management with IDM
Plasman’s implementation was carried out and launched during a period of very high sales and intense production in Simrishamn. While strong business performance is always positive, these conditions naturally made the project even more challenging for all involved. The main focus was to ensure a smooth and efficient transition for production reporting and outbound deliveries, with minimal impact on customers. The dedicated commitment from the project team, especially towards the end, was a key factor in achieving success.

As the project concluded, Plasman seamlessly transitioned to Meridion Support. Throughout the autumn and winter, we have continued working together to refine and enhance the user experience of the new solution.
The project, led from Gothenburg and Anderstorp, is an impressive achievement within a short timeframe. An outdated ERP system, including related hardware and software, was replaced with a powerful, future-proof cloud-based platform.
Does this sound a bit like bragging? Perhaps, but both Plasman and Meridion are truly proud of what we have accomplished so far. We continue to collaborate and evolve together to meet future demands and expectations.
