Meridion’s trainee program develops newly graduated students into market leading M3 consultants. Infor M3 is one of the world’s largest business systems (ERP) and our customers are manufacturing and distribution companies that want to streamline their processes.
– We think it is great to bring in new, ambitious people who we get to see grow. It is contagious in the office, and everyone is passionate about onboarding new people, seeing what incredibly talented consultants they become and being part of their journey, says Jonna Cander, Finance & HR Manager at Meridion.
FIRST YEAR AS A TRAINEE
Your first year at Meridion will be a trainee year where the first months focus on training. Both internally by our own experts on our project model, the consulting profession and Meridion’s strategies, as well as external training via our partner Infor to learn the software.
After the training, you will practice practical application and getting into projects together with colleagues. The idea is to collaborate with as many people as possible in the office and focus on growing in your new role as a consultant.
– In many other consulting companies, you get outsourced and placed somewhere else. We would rather sell a project and a team. Our team spirit and company culture are incredibly important to us, and we want to work together to maintain that nice bubbly feeling you have when you step into the office. We are a tight group that likes to hang out with each other outside of work as well. That is the feeling we want all new employees to feel and be a part of, says Jonna.
WORK IN PROGRESS
You will learn the consulting profession from the ground up and gain solid experience in how new business processes are designed and implemented. We primarily set up projects where you will work in teams with other Meridion consultants to, for example, roll out an upgrade project in a factory.
The courses cover several areas within M3, so you can find your own niche:
- Business consultant. Choose your area within customer order management, production, warehouse or purchasing management etc.
- Technical business consultant. Work with system integration or development/coding of customer customizations and apps. Process development is also a part of everything we do.
- Financial consultant. Suitable if you have a university degree in finance and want to work more technically.
After the program, exciting assignments await. You get to take on responsibility early on and have the opportunity to work abroad for a shorter or longer period.
– Every year when the trainee program is over, we do an evaluation with those who participated, to challenge our creativity so we can adjust the program for next year. This way it gets a little better with each passing year, Jonna concludes.
