Liljeholmen’s Cloud upgrade with Meridion
DO ERP-PROJECTS HAVE TO BE LONG AND COMPLEX?
When Liljeholmens Stearinfabriks AB faced the decision to streamline and upgrade to the future-ready Infor M3 CloudSuite, they chose Meridion as their partner.
But does it have to be so long and complicated? No, that is not how we work at Meridion.
After the winter's holiday coziness and Liljeholmen's peak season for candles, it was time to kick off in January 2023.
”But is not this a very fast and optimistic project?” Sofia Lanebäck of Liljeholmen's Candle Factory asked at the kickoff meeting in January.
Meridion, with over 25 years of experience in upgrade projects and numerous new cloud projects under their belt, explained that the data conversion was a rather mechanical process, followed by necessary testing. If the system had no fundamental code modifications and only a few integrations with MES systems, banks, and EDI, it seemed quite reasonable.
The project started on January 9th and went live on May 29th.
Of course, there were challenges along the way, and the relationship between Liljeholmen and Meridion was entirely new. They had to learn each other's processes over time. However, with strong leadership from Meridion's project manager, Maria Hörnquist, and dedicated Meridion colleagues working in harmony with Liljeholmen's fantastic team, led by Sofia Lanebäck, it went exceptionally well.
So no, the implementation of Infor M3 Cloud does not need to be long or complicated.
